ART IS NOT COLD
By Malcolm Udogwu
Art is not cold. It is warm, endearing, inviting and challenging. Art is the window to life, a resourceful mode of expression to events around our universe. The mystery and beauty in art presentation in homes, galleries and museums is a work of love from the artist to consumers who ultimately would preserve and relieve a vision born ahead of time.
This is obvious in private collections too. The energy and workmanship of a piece can go a long to refresh our memories.
The collections in this gallery are drawn from years of indulgence, painting in various formations. From oil on canvas, acrylic and Indian ink projects on poster and post cards. Most works are dated, titled and signed.
These are non commissioned projects. Each creation is expressive, depicting places and time. The bonding with colors perhaps is the gutsiest adventure in a given presentation. Recently, I have treasured black Indian ink on post cards and I have used them extensively to create inspiring works of art. The creations are mostly from memories which appeals and reflect my African heritage; others are experiences and events of life around me.
Iām a writer, painter, poet and documentary photographer. My specialties are arts and culture, travelogue, social justice, general interviews, and commentary. I hope you love and cherish them as I do.
